To enhance the city's ability to resist war threats and improve emergency protection, a certain city has officially launched the upgrade and renovation project of underground bunker facilities recently. This project covers 12 key underground bunkers in the urban area and involves three core tasks: structural reinforcement, ventilation system renewal and expansion of emergency material reserve areas.
According to the project leader, the upgraded underground bunkers will have multiple protective functions. They can resist the impact of conventional weapons, and are equipped with independent oxygen supply and water circulation systems to meet the basic survival needs of personnel for 72 hours. In addition, each bunker is equipped with an emergency command and communication module to ensure smooth information exchange with the outside world in extreme situations.
"Underground bunkers are a defense line for urban security," said a relevant person from the municipal emergency management bureau. The project is expected to be completed next month, and regular civil air defense drills will be carried out subsequently to effectively enhance the public's awareness of safety protection and build a solid underground security barrier for the city.
